Clos des Goisses Champagne Blend

2005 vintage. Dégorgement March 2014. Pinot Noir (65%) and Chardonnay (35%). Dosage 4,5 g/l. 19030 bottles produced. Lovely layered Champagne combining creaminess and steely acidity. Beautiful now, but remains very young.

This is gorgeous. Creamy and fine-moussed. Quite ripe and polished with small bubbles, a freshness in the midpalate and a lovely delicate spine of acidity. Excellent.

Fresh bright seashells, bread and lime. Dazzling and precise. Lemon curd and minerality. Sizzling. Young.

Bright White flowers, chalky, lemon zest. A ripe middle and real balance and drive.

Very fresh and vibrant. Lovely middle. Lemon and settled rounded minerality. Detailed acidity, very fine mousse. Long and delicious- quite ripe but balanced.

A lovely ripe nose. Spicy and intense with bread notes, a whiff of wild strawberry. Then on the palate very polished and smooth. Lovely depth and good balance. Not sure if this is one for the ages but it is very complete now. Yum

First exposure to this. Sexy elegance, balance and precision. After a few minutes in the glass the effervescence settles down and the mouthfeel is a treat.

Started the evening with a favorite; beautiful age complexity

Classy, my second time trying the famous CdG on this was smoking good! I tense but light on its feet, uber complex with layers of aromas texture and flavor. #champagne #goisses #2005
