Glistening ruby. Pungent, spice- and smoke-accented cherry cola and black raspberry scents convey a sexy potpourri quality. Silky and expansive in the mouth, offering sappy red and dark fruit preserve, candied rose, vanilla and spicecake flavors that smoothly meld depth and vivacity. Finishes very long and juicy, with velvety tannins framing resonating cherry, floral and exotic spice notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2022)

Ruby with berry fruit, tea and floral spice aromas. On the palate blackberry and cherry fruit flavors with currants, tea and licorice notes, lively acidity adding herb spices. Long finish, dry fine tannins, ending with fruit, bright mineral tones and a citrus tang.

Evocative of a young, high-end Cote de Nuits, on the richer end of Burgundian. So wonderfully floral and laden with spice, smooth as all get out. Firm but delicate and fine tannins linger forever. Loved it. Never bothered to move to my typical Mastro’s Napa Cab.

Darker fruited and with more spice and tannin structure than the Estate. A very long and true Shea.

Holy smokes. This is gorg. Has a youthful bite that will soften nicely. 2013 is showing a lot of promise IMHO.

Soft, fresh and bright. Cinnamon and spiced capture the nose-leading to a youthful and mineral mouthfeel. Slight oak and racy tannins make for a good finish. Could use some bottle age.

Nose of warm mid & dark red fruits and perfume florals. Black raspberries, black cherries, black plum, pouched strawberries, raspberries cola & licorice, more silky chalk & dark crushed minerality than their previous Pinot's, violets, bright acid and ripe, round, elegant, polished finish.

2008 Bella Vida vineyard- Tasty red fruit. Red plum, paprika, and bacon on the nose. Fruit on the palate juuust starting to go into dried or baked tones. Its nice but it kinda ceels like an awkward adolescent phase for the wine.

Shea Vineyard (44%), Fennwood Vineyard (33%), Estate Vineyard (15%) and Wapato Ridge Vineyard (8%), I saw a vivid ruby red color and fresh fruit aromas of red berries and spices. The palate yields sweet cherry and raspberry fruit with a hint of smoky espresso tang. The wine is well balanced and finishes long with smooth tannins and residual fruit. The wine was aged for 10 months in new French oak (26%), one-year old French oak (41%), two-year old French oak (24%), and neutral French oak (9%).
