Yummy. Cherries and very giving. A super everyday wine.

The 2020 Dogliani San Luigi is fruity, open knit and delicious, with plenty of red cherry/plum fruit character. Bright floral notes perk up the finish. $20.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2022)

Fruit-forward with prominent notes or blackcurrant, prunes, fig and a slight mineral touch. A slight chill for 20min and it’s lovely delight!

One of my favorite producers in Piedmont and their Dogliani is always incredible value for money. Popped and poured; DIAM cork. Ever so slightly effervescent on the first sip (some secondary fermentation?) but that disappears within minutes. Aromas of grapefruit and black cherries. On the palate, black cherries and almonds. Paired wonderfully with pasta all’arrabbiata. Drink now or over the next few years.

Blue and black fruits. Tightly wound; showing signs this will be a 20 year-plus wine. Persistent, but fine tannins. Fantastic. #dogliani #pecchenino #dolcetto

Pop. Pour. Drink with or without food. Win. This is a delicious quaffer. No need to spend energy contemplating this rather winsome Dolcetto. Sub-$20. Want more in my life.

Dark fresh tart berries, clean, pretty, purple flowers, young, fresh delicate... little to no oak.
