At cellar temp on a warm (not hot) summer night, it’s hard to think of a better red. Piercing cherry fruit just stopping short of raspberry. Fragrant limestoney minerality. In the mouth, it’s bone dry and flavorful, but in a refreshingly lithe package. Picks up some chalky tannin in the close.

Seems tightly wound at first, but opens up with air. Nose shows candied, crisp cherry, light spice, and bright crushed rock minerality. Very lively. Chiseled in the mouth, with crushed rock minerality in the foreground and fruit in the background. Bright acids. Seems like it’s not quite integrated yet. Fun now, it will get more elegant and settled over the next 2-3 years. Nice!

UPDATE: Night 2, it’s in fact much more together. All the individual components are singing in harmony, and great limestony terroir is informing the crisp cherry fruit. Upping from 9.0 to 9.2.

I love #delectable I find that most everybody scores spot on and that when a wine has been tasted by a good number of tasters, the average score is near perfect almost always. Take this wine, I was let down. I love #pinotnoir and I don’t get to taste Pinots from #sancerre often and I was excited but then this wine was so blasé it had medium ruby color, medium(-) simple aromas of red fruits with hints of anis and fennel. and both on the nose and on the palate it didn’t even seem like Pinot to me.

Xtra crisp. Citrus, guava, stunning acid and salivating finish.

Not only my favorite label from the Loire but also one of my favorites Pinots from the Loire too. Yum.

Needed a minute for some Brett to blow off, but then it's all candied cherries with hints of pine. Dad thought its finish was similar to eating caramel and I can see what he's trying to say.

Light slightly acidic, moderate tart linger not unpleasant, does not stand out
