This pale pink wine shows aromas of lemon, strawberry, cherry and minerals on the nose. The palate is full of bright red fruit, citrus, watermelon and a hint of cinnamon. There is a racy acidity present, which puts this wine squarely in the “food friendly” category. The sip finishes on a slightly tart note, which plays into the food friendliness a little more.

The 2017 By Ott is not as ripe as the previous couple vintages, but still very tasty. Rhubarb, blood orange, peach and melon, with citrus and honeysuckle notes. Consistent house style, plenty of acidity to pair with food. $22 @ Pogo’s

With a solid Rosé year like 2015, it's easy to find wonderful wines. I tasted this next to the "big sister" Domaine Ott, and for the money, this was the clear winner. Perhaps not as full-bodied, but wonderful balance and not a single off-note. A delicious Provence Rosé, and certainly in the DallasWine Top 10 for 2015.
