From volcanic soils, deep red with dark fruits and complex spice. On the palate this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and the rare, ancient Bordeaux grape St Macaire, shows dense ripe black berry fruits, tobacco, cacao and sweet fig. Fine tannins needing more time but very approachable, well balanced on lingering finish.

Good enough to buy all they had. This one has great tannic structure and they are fine. Lots of fruit too.

Near end of tasting. Gritty. Tannic. Needs to lay down a bit.

This wonderful Thai restaurant may not have been the best choice for this wine. In Austin struggling to find restaurants where outside wine is allowed. Last sips were the best. Should have decanted. Paid $15 corkage.

Inky and structured. Deep body and has some good layering to it. Left it open for a few hours and drank well.

3-hour decant. Probably could have used another couple of hours. Dark garnet color. Black cherry, tobacco and cassis. Very nice.
