Omero Cellars
Omero Vineyard Pinot Noir
Very happy to get my hands on a few of these - I love this wonderful winery and what they are doing. This Pinot is a lot of fun to dissect. Bright cherry notes, baking spice on the nose. I’m getting the usual flavors of Willamette here, but with a clean cola profile I was not expecting. Different and I like it.

Nov 7th, 2018Two days after opening, black cherry and leather on the front, Mediterranean herbs through the middle, maybe like a basil thing going on and a sharp acidity on the front of the tongue for a long finish. Didn't take notes on first tasting but I liked it then and even two days later it's a cracker.

1 person found it helpfulJul 9th, 2017Soft ruby core. A lush nose is immediately noticed on this Willamette Pinot with deep red fruits, pomegranates, ripe black cherries, cedar, mushrooms, fresh Provençal herbs and orange rind. The palate follows the lead of nose with the fruit and earth, before the velvety tannins take hold. There is a lovely balance of very moderate alcohol (13%) and high acid on the finish that makes this Pinot very food friendly and a great option for a pre-dinner wine that will refresh the palate and please a crowd. Drink now through 2022.

Jun 4th, 2016Black and red currents, baking spices on the nose. Not quite ripe strawberries on the tongue. Dry, acidic. Mineral after taste. Tannins leave my mouth dry and stripped. Maybe it would go with pumpkin ravioli?

Feb 18th, 2019Solid Pinot Noir for the price point. Dark cherries (maybe baked) leather in the woods.

Dec 3rd, 2017Subtly and deliciously different to typical Willamette Pinot Noir. The oak and alcohol are background players, just as I like it. Up front, it's acid and Terry's chocolate orange.
