A ripe Cabernet, offering a blast of fruit in the flashiest way. Wows with tiers of blackberries, black cherries, cassis, cocoa, cool mint, spice and smoked meat that are almost sweet, but the finish is dry. The powerful oak overlay is perfectly in keeping with the wine's volume.

It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix, and it's my 4,500th review on Vivino. Time to celebrate with a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon.

Beautiful nose of blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha and black pepper.

Full bodied, smooth and bold, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, figs, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, mocha, dark coffee, light tobacco, vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Very fruity with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, but much better after 2 hours of airtime.

This 7 year old from the 2012 vintage, is very fruity, rich, extracted and delicious. Will be even better in 5 years. A great sipping wine.

Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.

Good by itself or with food. Would pair very well with a big piece of steak on the grill.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

95 points.

$90.

Luscious and velvety, this big cab is in its prime after 10 years in the bottle. The nose is molasses and spice. On the palate there is more spice, vanilla, black tea, and cocoa. The finish is oaky with more molasses, chewy tannins, and fine acid. This is a classic Oakville cab.

This was a very nice surprise. Gift from a peer I was not sure what to expect. Bold, jammy and velvety smooth. Smokey finish capped this off.

I would recommend letting this breathe before drinking. It could age a few years if you so wish

Gorgeous almost rusty maybe color. Legs, 7/10. Light on the nose, strawberry and cranberry. Taste is amazing!!! Light but fruit forward and just sweet enough.

A fairly new discovery for me this winery will certainly get (much) more attention from me in the future.
A great wine from a shamefully under-rated vintage in Napa.
