Last night in Houston for awhile. Heading back to Anaheim tomorrow. Out of wine so stopped at Trader Joe’s and saw this $20 Napa cab so we thought we would try it and coming are to our under $20 wines we’ve been doing during the lockdown. Enjoyed with take away from Avesta Persian Grill. Nice but looking forward to my CA stash.

Drops hints of much more expense Oakville bottles. Less than $20 at Trader Joe’s.

Big and ripe. Pairs nicely with a simply prepared ribeye.

The wine pours a beautiful dark purple. It has flavors of boysenberry and blueberry. And yes as some other viewers of said is a bit sweet. But also has a slightly spicy finish with just enough dryness for me. This is an outstanding value at Trader Joe’s. I think it was about $21. I regret that I didn’t get any more, because now with the pandemic, it’s so difficult to go to Trader Joe’s and get anything. Let alone a single vintage of wine.

Soft on the tongue with an itty bitty touch of sophistication. Juuuust a bit too much oak for me , but overall very enjoyable. Received as a gift. If it’s really a $25 dollar bottle (as I’ve read in the comments) — that’s a nice value. And yes: probably should have shelved.
