Last night in Houston for awhile. Heading back to Anaheim tomorrow. Out of wine so stopped at Trader Joe’s and saw this $20 Napa cab so we thought we would try it and coming are to our under $20 wines we’ve been doing during the lockdown. Enjoyed with take away from Avesta Persian Grill. Nice but looking forward to my CA stash.

Jul 9th, 2023Nose: cassis, cherry, spices…booze. Wet stone. A little leather. Raspberry leaf. Good flavors, but smells a little cheap and thin.
Taste: Pretty good. Medium weight +, silky, very fruit forward. A strong herbal cassis finish. 89-90. Not a “good deal”, but probably worth the $20. Reminiscent of a proper Napa Cab, imagine that!
