2022 -Vintage - very floral pretty aromatics good balance

Hints of herbal. Red berry and strawberry

Cherry, dark fruits, light, stable

Simple but delicious.

Full of ripe red fruits and earthy tannins.

Concentrated fruit, well integrated oak and fine tannins with a long finish.

This is extraordinary for a base pinot. Asparagus, prosciutto, and vegetal notes dominates the nose. The palate unfurls into a savoury tapestry of tannin, dark cherry and salami. This is long and complex and would improve with cellaring given the balance and tannic grip. Punching well above its weight.

Brooding purple garnet.
Earthy nose.
Dusty blueberry palate with balanced acidity.

For $49, this is great p/q. Less heavy than Neuendorf, and a touch more complex and balanced than Rockburn for the same money. There is the dark fruited spice of central otago but with a more burgundian acid and tannin profile. Savoury and long.

Medium-light ruby hue. Reductive nose (burnt match). But after the first taste, it reveals aromas of cherry, earthy, tar, vanilla, with a hint of strawberry. Medium-minus body with plus acidity. Rounded and plush. Wonderful palate of red fruit.
