For $49, this is great p/q. Less heavy than Neuendorf, and a touch more complex and balanced than Rockburn for the same money. There is the dark fruited spice of central otago but with a more burgundian acid and tannin profile. Savoury and long.

Medium-light ruby hue. Reductive nose (burnt match). But after the first taste, it reveals aromas of cherry, earthy, tar, vanilla, with a hint of strawberry. Medium-minus body with plus acidity. Rounded and plush. Wonderful palate of red fruit.

Got them to sell me an older vintage. Enjoyed this over two nights. This fucker was pure skittles on opening but calmed down and brought some balance to the table on day two. Very fruit driven and almost hard to imagine what it was like on release. That being said, I very much like what this thing is up to, and find it to be a very good value.
