Jun 15th, 2018The most serious Blaufränkisch I’ve tasted thus far. Pure spice character, licorice, minerality, intense small red berries- but with both a finesse and concentration that set it apart from even some of the best examples. Very expansive on the palate and just gets better and better with every minute out of the bottle. Bursting with youthful fruit and verve. Moric seems to have obtained perfect ripeness in the Neckenmarkt and Lutzmannaburg parcels for this 2012 cuvée that is a truly stunning expression of this most noble varietal. Built to cellar.

Jul 17th, 2017Incredible. Super wound up even after 36+ hours open, but loaded with funky, smokey, herbaceous charm (savory notes reminded me of Cornas if nothing else) and pristine powdery blue fruit.
