A producer I often check-in on at least once a year. I had never tried this cuvée before. Winemaker, Roland Velich delivers Blaufrankisch with added Zweigelt & Pinot Noir to this Austrian Burgenland blend. I’ve enjoyed it over two nights and at different temperatures. A fun try in all its forms. Straight out of the bottle it’s rugged and brambly, feeling as though I had just been bucked into a thicket of blackberries. With some air finesse settled in and the tannins became a more interesting texture play. On night two with a chill it showed more lead / graphite and plum driven fruit to add to my slice of berry cobbler.

Черничный джем, сухая чёрная смородина, брусника, клюква, красное яблоко, земля, лакрица, белый перец, лавр, можжевельник, легкий животный тон. Средне-легкое тело, пульсирующая кислотность, ещё чуть выпирающие, суховатые танины. Просто и однозначно, но не глупо. Сочно и питко. Лучше охладить и дать объема в бокале.

On the nose that barnyard/tar funk with cloves and cassis. On the zippyness of cranberry-grape cocktail wth a bit of smoke. Definitely amazing served with a slight chill.
