Aug 14th, 2024This is a very interesting Chardonnay from Napa Valley.
Showing great complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Dry on the palate with over ripen citrus fruits, apples, melons, honey, peaches, spices, black pepper, oak, vanilla, earth, light vegetables.
Smells perfumy in a manly kind of way.
Feels over the hill, but it's not. Really nice now.
Better when not too cold, and much better after 90 minutes of airtime. I did not decant it though.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
$90

@Mike R Rock/wet gravel intermixed with orange marmalade, white peach, pineapple and honeysuckle are all present in this medium+ bodied, dense Chardonnay. Mike thanks for thinking of me. Had a few glasses of this. Very enjoyable.

Jul 1st, 2018I often like to start the night off with a glass of Chardonnay before getting into the reds...especially this Chardonnay. Full bodied with a very long finish. Honeysuckle, melon and creme brûlée. Oh the creme brûlée. I think after drinking some Cab, I may come back to this for dessert!
