Color is plenty youthful and elegant with a ruby red that gets lighter pink on the edges. The nose is a mix of primary and tertiary, with cherry, pomegranate, sandalwood, earthy forest floor and a woodsy mushroom. The palate was pure silk and refined velvety tannin, finishing long and fresh with classic bright Tuscan acidity. If you have it it's great but has legs for another 15 years easy. #montevertine #tuscany #sangiovese

Coming along nicely. The barrique has receded enough that you can enjoy the impressive structure and the nuances of the fruit. Really quite exceptional.
