No formal notes just impressions this evening . This still comes across as really quite young and needs food to show well . Compared to the Il Campitello this is more rustic with higher acidity and grip, however there is good density of fruit here , with the pine resin , sweet red cherry notes turning to strawberry and raspberry with time in the glass . Good length and some grippy still and angular tannins . Needs food but is really an excellent CC. Just kept improving over the 5 hours it was in the glass .

Medium ruby with a wide pink , ruby rim . Quite aromatic, ripe red cherries , dried herbs and cedar . On the palate there is high , refreshing acidity , ripe spiced red cherries , touch of crunchy summer fruits and quite grippy but fine tannins with good length. Good to drink now through will improve over the next 3-5 years and last well a further 5-8. For a basic Chianti Classico this is a really well done .

Smoked charcuterie hitting you up front. Salami , black pepper , and bramble strawberry. Lots of great fruit and acidity to give this structure

Beautiful Chianti, high acid, spice, leather, earth, medium tannin. Enjoyed over three days with much improvement.

Excellent Chianti. Paired perfectly with homemade Neapolitan pizza. Best way to break in new pizza oven is with great wine and friends.

Chianti is one of the most food friendly, drinkable wines, and this is a delicious Chianti!

Savory, earth and mushrooms, surrounding that nice Chianti fruit. Structured, fresh, and long.

Right out of the bottle, that’s some dirty, bright, middle weight funk.
N: Briars, tar, tobacco, dark cherries buried in loam.
P: Bright! Acids up front, cherries in back, lots of terroir. Delicious. As it airs, those cherries really pop.

My go to Chianti tested side by side with the 18. The wines are getting a little pricy for what they are. The 2019 is more tannic and needs time to come together. It is really an excellent wine. Cherry 🍒 galore, bark, black tea, reminds me of a red burgundy.
