Smells of funky jam.
Flint in the tongue, sour berry, white pepper, light, yet chewy little tannins.
An odd duck. Yet you need one every now and then to appreciate the others.

The stickers on the neck says 'James Suckling-92 pts' so let's see! Smelled promising but restrained- tart red cherries, some wood and that subtle quintessential Italian under arm funk.
Pours out as a murky ruby- more like a table Sangiovese than a Pinot. Bland, watery, an aftertaste that is hightened by the over done acids that have an artificial sense. Sorry James but you sold your name to someone who is defecating on your reputation.

Good Italian Pinot Noir we picked up at Costco in Denver. Dry red fruits, nice color, nice body. Slightly chewy tannins, but soft.
