Mollydooker Wines
The Maitre D Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark Ruby with aromas of fresh crushed berry fruit with earthy tones. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with pepper spice, tobacco and cacao on fine dusty tannins. Long finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with fruit and an oak mineral character. Nice!

May 26th, 2020K: I LOVE Mollydooker wines. The fruit is always supremely extracted, the mouthfeel is soft, fine and luscious- and the 2016 “Maitre D” Cabernet is nooooo exception. The ‘16’s to begin with were awesome in Australia and, from what I have had, resplendent across the board. The deep nose of this one opens up to, frankly; an explosion of fruit on the palate. The tannins are so beautifully chewy, and reveal a mid-palate that is packed with a rich and exuberant set of currant, cassis- and a velvety texture that leads gracefully to a long and juicy finish. See: 2016- good downunda.

Apr 9th, 2020This is stunning. We love it. So exotic on the nose, which carries thru to the palate. Plump black and blue fruits pick up pace, along with coffee and pomegranate. Perfect acidity complements ripe tannins. Don’t cellar this, it’s perfect right now.
Kitchen will be completed in time for Xmas...
