First wine I have cellared for a decade!
Purchased for $40 in 2015. Gorgeous ruby/garnet color. Cherry, berry flesh, orange zest, vanilla, licorice, and root beer. Crazy good balance. This can no doubt go longer, but why wait? Absolutely singing with farfalle and sweet Italian sausage.

The nose is more delicate based on what I'm used to. Red fruits, with maybe red licorice. The palette is powerful and tight, as the tannins are underripe. Love the acid structure, complimented with raspberries and capsicum. Lovely long finish, but this needs another five years to show its true colors. Having said that, this will be excellent in time.
