My dog Zinny loves this wine. He says the nose shows sweet, oozy blackberry, moist gravelly earth, and baking spice. In the mouth, it's so soft, with lots of brambly, barky notes, almost like a Bandol but riper and less structured. Lingering finish. At its apogee. Sadly, my last bottle of this one.

Nov 22nd, 2016Elegant, rich nose of ripe blackberry, maple syrup, tobacco leaf and almost Chianti Classico-esque gravel. Velvety soft and nicely balanced, but with intense flavors. Alcohol is 15% but it's not noticeable at all. I always feel like I'm drinking history when I have a wine with 100+ year old vines.

Apr 21st, 2020Nice ruby red color. Smells nice. Rose petals, olives and cherry. Flavor is subdued and thoughtful. Some nice anise and olive oil notes blend with the very berry party. It’s a classy and well structure cool climate Zin. Berry and cherry make a cheerful and slightly serious wine that has the soul of zin, but some Syrah and petite Verdot like elements as well.

Nov 11th, 2019Really nice! I do not find this as light bodied as some reviewers. A really well balanced wine that has the classic zin elements. Very happy to drink this.
