Penedès Macabeu - Brisat

This was an...unusual wine (and not just because the bottle looks like a fancy olive oil). The nose can only be described as a combination of dirty socks, cheese rind and rotten eggs. But if you get past that it’s actually a lovely and subtle skin contact white with creamy texture, orange pith and faint yeasty aftertaste

Fascinating wine. Getting initial scents and flavors of burnt orange peel. The body is light and there’s a fresh citrus acidity to this wine that keeps it light on the tongue. A touch of heat on the finish.

From Barkada. Very cool wine. Tannic but with apricot and apple overtones with acidic snap.

was ok.. lighter than expected given amphora...?guess I expected more because of the funky bottle. wouldn’t mind trying their other wines but wouldn’t buy again

Cloudy, delicious. One of my favorites from Orange Glou this month. Staycation.
