Barolo Nebbiolo
Drank 9\27\19. Tasting event. Tasting pour.
Light floral nose of roses. Red cherry flavors supported by firm, but well integrated tannins and earthy notes. Ready to drink. A nice "entry level" Barolol.

Drank 5/22/19. Decent paiting with grilled lamb chops.
Fragrant nose of violets, rose petals, cherry, and a hint of truffle. A slight, musty library book scent blows off after an hour. Muted palate, with tar, earth, red and black cherry that are backed by firm tannins, which are still quite aggressive at 9 years of age. Long, dry finish dominated by tar and sour cherry. . This improved after a couple of hours. It is drinkable, but I would decant, or age another 2-5 years.

Hazelnuts and crushed berry seeds a strong nose, and one that reflect this area very well.
Bright at the front, sharp with pomegranate,
raspberry, hints of almond, Thai basil, root
, Fresh gunpowder tea.
A big wine that is still not tempered by time. Strapping tannins, a large presence in the glass, and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Could have used another 10 years. Yum.

Fruit sourced from young, cool vineyards, Arborina and Gattera in La Morra, Castelletto in Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba. Medium Ruby red color with aromas of red & black fruit, spices, floral and cedar. On the palate flavors of sour cherry and raspberry with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins, ending with an earthy character. Good now, a few bottle years will benefit!

1 person found it helpfulApr 24th, 2024$40 and this is a great little Barolo. Very brightly fragrant and floral - rose petals, vanilla, anise, crushed rocks, stewed red fruit.
The pallet had well integrated, but firmly present tannins, exhibiting notes of dried herbs, bell pepper, dark sweet cherries, and a lingering rich finish. Hard to find a higher quality Barolo sub $50..

Still young but chewy tannins, full body lot of potential need a little bit of age to soften
