A big wine that is still not tempered by time. Strapping tannins, a large presence in the glass, and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Could have used another 10 years. Yum.

$40 and this is a great little Barolo. Very brightly fragrant and floral - rose petals, vanilla, anise, crushed rocks, stewed red fruit.
The pallet had well integrated, but firmly present tannins, exhibiting notes of dried herbs, bell pepper, dark sweet cherries, and a lingering rich finish. Hard to find a higher quality Barolo sub $50..
