Drank 5/22/19. Decent paiting with grilled lamb chops.

Fragrant nose of violets, rose petals, cherry, and a hint of truffle. A slight, musty library book scent blows off after an hour. Muted palate, with tar, earth, red and black cherry that are backed by firm tannins, which are still quite aggressive at 9 years of age. Long, dry finish dominated by tar and sour cherry. . This improved after a couple of hours. It is drinkable, but I would decant, or age another 2-5 years.

4/30/7/3/5 +50 =89 pts.

Hazelnuts and crushed berry seeds a strong nose, and one that reflect this area very well.

Bright at the front, sharp with pomegranate,
raspberry, hints of almond, Thai basil, root
, Fresh gunpowder tea.
A big wine that is still not tempered by time. Strapping tannins, a large presence in the glass, and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Could have used another 10 years. Yum.

$40 and this is a great little Barolo. Very brightly fragrant and floral - rose petals, vanilla, anise, crushed rocks, stewed red fruit.
The pallet had well integrated, but firmly present tannins, exhibiting notes of dried herbs, bell pepper, dark sweet cherries, and a lingering rich finish. Hard to find a higher quality Barolo sub $50..

Still young but chewy tannins, full body lot of potential need a little bit of age to soften

Earthy. Smooth texture sharp finish. Not my favorite for the price. However. I was drinking it in a nice Cabernet glass and poured it into a different glass. Tastes much better. The Cabernet glass made it taste vinegar.

First impression: light Barolo, dry & light/med oak, opened quickly, red fruit, acidity med/high. LB got for me at neighborhood wine store. Really like this wine. Reminds me of robust Nebbiolo.

Warm vintage. Tried to make like 2011. Delicious. Designed to enjoy, approachable. Can be drunk young

2012 vintage. Rich cherry nose. Big and complex. Cherry, licorice and some tobacco hints. Smooth finish.
