Jun 20th, 2021Not really sure what to think. Fake-like, so young with tannin and acid. Concentrated big color. Unexpected. Like an 86 mouton this wine has 50 years in front of it. Still semi primary. Weird. Tasted like a 1990. Primary.

Oct 3rd, 2018Very interesting experience with this 50 yr old Barolo. Great fill in neck, decanted for 30 mins. Color was dark ruby with orange colored rim. Initial flavors of iron and cherry, high acidity. After 60 mins the acidity disappeared with toffee, earth, chestnut bouquet and sweet fruit, medium body. Then at 90 mins the sweetness leaves and a more focused, less complex flavor profile results. Perfect at 60-75 mins and drinkable for 1:45-2 hrs after decant.
