Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, citrus and floral notes. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors with nutty spice notes. Tannins are rustic and firm, medium finish ending with savory character. Drink now, no aging benefit.

Slowly moving into tertiary phase offering some more complexity and a wider flavor profile.

For $18.50, it is hard to beat this Chianti for value. This is a flavorful Chianti when first opened. There is no reason to decant it as it is best right out of the bottle. It tastes like Chianti should with a strong astringent bite in the finish. Sure, there are some off, harsh notes, and this wine is not the most elegant Chianti, but it is hard to find another red wine this good for under $20.

Nicely developing and getter better in shape. Fresh red fruits with pretty tannines, earth and leather. Autumn wine.

Has that rustic and acidic note common to Chianti. Not objectionable.

Big tannins but softens with breathing...maybe opened too soon but 2016 seems old enough. Dark berries, deep ruby color, immature nose and initially harsh on the palate. Full flavor only evident after softens, then almost silky on the palate. Takes too long, though…
