I had the 2017 vintage about 7 months ago... you wouldn’t think that much time aging would make a difference, but it’s noticeable. The tannins are already starting to mellow.
The merlot shines.
At this price, it’s next to impossible to beat the quality.

Black cherries, cassis, and oak on the nose; medium plus acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberries, and crushed gravel with a long finish. I love this wine. I can't pick out any additional flavors so my score is a little lower than I would otherwise give. Nellie doesn't like it. Jason does.

Syrupy medium ruby.
Medium intense berry flavor with a little hint of cheese.
Bone dry. Mid full body. Medium length with tannin and acidity stands out. A little too much acidity.
