Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Lovely! At it’s peak now, so sweet, smell of ripe dates and raisins. So happy I caught it at its peak

Classic cherry notes, licorice, clove and smoked sausage. It's been a while since I've had this one and I was nicely surprised

For being the best vintage ever produced; it's not overwhelmingly outstanding.

Big and rich 2010 vintage. 15% alcohol and driven by ripe fruit. Well balanced and great structure but a bit over the top. Doesn't look Italian. Just looks like a well made generous red.

Tobacco, vanilla, spice, dried herbs, raspberry, wet earth. Seductive notes of chocolate cherry. Loooong finish.

OMG. Crushed rocks, pencil shavings, red and darker fruit, baby bit of plastic/band aid, cinnamon, Intensely aromatic, 3+ minute finish. Unbelievably good!

Beautiful heady bouquet even before the nose hits the glass. Round red fruit and bramble, dense and dark ruby - deeper in flavor and color than same vintage drink prev years. Finish is medium and slightly rough, but pretty good overall.

Garnet coloration. On the nose, cherry, leather and oak. A fainter nose. On the palate, cherry, leather and vanilla. Not much of a finish. Still good tannins. Rather faint palate. A little more present palate then following day.

Elegante Power

Costco value find. Dealt out developed fruits with just enough time to keep things firm and not flabby. Delicious ranges of fruit spanning blueberries to raspberries and all the various colors and tones in between. A slight bit of spiciness and a bite thats more of a bell pepper than actual chilies
