Once you get past that it's not at all what you're expecting, it really is quite nice. Very intense dark fruit and unsweetened cinnamon. Almost herbal on the back end and the alcohol penetrates right to your nose. Despite its apparent lack of balance, I'd say this is another keeper from the Antinori family.

Beautiful blend of Cab Sauvignon and Franc. On the young side but perfectly approachable. If you can resist a year or two you will get an extremely high QPR
