Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis Chardonnay

Elegant and surprisingly aromatic: white flowers, honeysuckle, lavender. Dry, round, light mineral. Gala Apple, pineapple. Crisp with a finish leaning acidic and a quiet bite. Honest but sophisticated.

Took an hour to open up. Mild acidity, not a ton of minerality. Odd for Chablis.

Ok, doesn’t stand out from the pack. Lean, odd hybrid of classic and modern styles. Shies away from expressing fruit or minerality

Very shy. Minor key. Citrus steely nose, typical chablis flavour profile with a slightly funky/mushroom character. Flinty. But not super zingy or grippy.

I love the screeching acidity of Chablis. Produced on the domains this has a good balance of fruit and acid. Chardonnay the way it should be.

Great buy on the menu at l’Opera here in Long Beach. Perfect amount of chablis regal charm and lots of mineral freshness.

Great with oysters

Decent for a spontaneous purchase - not as angular and sharp angled acidity as I prefer, rounded off w/plenty of apple - crowd pleaser mid-weight with shortish finish - feel like this is an entry level Chablis that is a bit dishonest (not unpleasant at all)
