100% old-vine Marsanne from the Les Murets lieu dit which is predominantly east facing on the hill. This was the most powerful of the three Hermitage Blancs tonight. The nose was redolent of marmalade, honey, butter cream frosting, and slate. Luxurious texture with a long finish. Lovely with monkfish, sweet potato, leek, and winter truffle. Drink now through 2034+.

Rich, concentrated and complex. Acidity not surprisingly is a bit low, for me, but not at all flabby. Alcohol is also detectable, but not off putting. Liquid rocks, roasted hazelnuts, caramelized apples and honeysuckle. Viscous and creamy texture and a persistent finish. Old white Rhône is always a fun wine experience.

Oh my GOD! This Marsanne does not quit. So much acid, it needed decanting. Amber in color c/w a 1999. But this can easily go 15 more years.

Big, fat, mature. Slightly oxidized giving it sherry tones.

From mag - showing all of its 15 years, this is already mature. Would drink up over the next 5-10 years

Gold color. Intense nose of tropical fruit, yeast with gasoline. Oily palate, and a little lacking on the acidity. Long finish.
