This #Barbera is a little more boozy than I remember stylistically. Dark red #wine primarily with watery sheen. Aromas of black cherry, blue/purple flowers, damp earth. Smooth body. Black cheery fruits with quick tannins on the finish.

Straight forward fruits. Fairly big for a barbera.

Found at Alameda Wine Co. Floral bouquet, fruit forward, with some nice depth.

Snagged at Whole Foods primarily to add to a beef stew. Ended up drinking the second half of the bottle with dinner because it was quite nice! A relatively simple, fruit-forward Barbera, totally clean and approachable. For the price ($13) a nice red for bringing to a potluck, party, etc as it’s versatile and not overly complicated. Would buy again.

Tart and ripe cherry, gamey, hint of floral and pepper. Tannins are good but think it will shine more in about a year. Could stand alone but think it's better with food - great with pork chops. For $10 it's an amazing value.
