Better than most wine. This electric, surprisingly mostly Pinot 2008 went with ahi bowls like a hand in glove. Huge respect to JBL, cellar master at Roederer- your organic plans are paying off!

M+ intensity. Yeast, baked bread, yellow Apple and pears. Hazelnut, graham cracker, toast, lemon rind, and a bit earthy. M+ acid, m body. Ripe Apple, pear, roasted coffee, earthy and creamy. Long finish.

The nose shows crushed chalk, precise lemon, green & red apple, takes a while to come out of its shell but then becomes more expressive with notes of honeysuckle, grape, ripe peach and peach melba with biscoti.
A classy though rather linear, expanding somewhat on the mid palate with succulent acidity, green mango, papaya with a mineral finish, mouth watering stuff!

Sushi and Champagne is the Morsel cats favorite.... Luckily she is more interested in eating than in drinking. This bottle is one of the finest cellar candidates that I have had in a long time. I could feel the chalky drive all the way in the back of my head. As the wine warmed and opened it developed a nutty aroma that brought me back to Alba where they sell fresh chestnuts on the street during the truffle festival. In another 10 years this will really be something... In another 40 it will be a legend.

This bottle was a bit advanced - storage? Still showed its pedigree, but the fruit had taken on an aldehydic tone, with a caramel / toffee finish. Quite soft and creamy. Something not quite right here
