Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay
This is wonderful. Smoky and earth driven.

Sep 3rd, 2017Thick yellow green gold color. Friendly. An oily nose, baked sugar, yeast, white citrus play along. A beast on the pallette, but contained by the bracing acidity. Cooler, challenging vintage, but its beautiful.

From 1/2 bt. Much better as it warms up. Honeyed Bosc pear, Creme brûlée, clay, limestone. Solid complexity and length. $65 at legal seafood, what a steal

Jan 17th, 2015A preferred house fir Corton Charlemagne and a favorite vintage from this house over the past decade. This bottle is spot on, in my humble opinion. Aromatics show tropical fruits of coconut, oak, acacia, and more. Mid palate of big bold resins and viscosity. Finish lasts more than a minute. Wish I had more bottles to pull out of the locker to enjoy!!

Jan 15th, 2021Saved this one and worth the wait, took a little time but rewarded for our patience. Deep color and richness, this is why we hold the noble bourgognes Christmas Eve dinner
