Mature with sous bois , earth , spice and red fruits . Has the wondering sweet fruit of the 1985 vintage really quite lovely . This was from purchased fruit .

1990 Jadot Amoureuses... From the list at Oustau in Les Baux. Really great old Chambolle nose. Feminine. Bricking opaque color. Sweet fruit but angular with complexity in the nose. The structure in the mouth is palate coating and expanding with air. Dried fruits in the finish, a little prune but not in a bad way.

Wine has a beautiful medium dark ruby red gaining some brick hue on the border. Has always been taut and muscular and somewhat variable. This bottle oozed with great fruit, spices and flowers, and was truly excellent. Tanins are pronounced but there is enough fruit here to outlast them. Was a great bottle and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
