A wonderful premier Cru from the northern end of Nuits-St.-Georges, close to Vosne Romanée. Nice Ruby color with an array of fruit, floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh citrus zest adding in some tea notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with depth and focus. Will continue to develop. Tasting Sample.

Sipping Fine Wine

From the northern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges near Vosne Romanée. Aromas of blue fruits, tea and spice. On the palate plum and cherry flavors, some pepper spice wrapped in generous acidity. Drying tight tannins, medium length ending with an earthy character. A nice wine but expected a bit more for the price.

The 11th anniversary celebration continues! Cinnamon & I made ratatouille, roast chicken & potatoes to pair with this very dark NSG. The wine was loaded with spice and dark fruit aromatically, had medium body, resolved tannins and the electric whip of acid that makes me like this vintage in spite of the naysayers. Too bad it was the only bottle- this will be at its best years from now.

Nice. Tasty burgundy that aged into a mellow, delicious wine.
