Pulled from my cellar and brought to Tasting Group. Decanted for sediment and served within 30 minutes of opening. Cork was pulled with a Durand; intact and saturated about halfway. In customary fashion, served double-blind to the group. The color is a deep, slightly hazy garnet. Medium viscosity. The nose is insanely expressive. Mushrooms and forest floor dominated early but these characteristics actually took more of a back seat to the fruit after about 30-45 minutes of air. At that point, desiccated red fruit with strawberries, cherries and cranberries were predominate followed by Salmiaki, dried flowers, with the mushrooms and the forest floor. Some baking spices too. Sneaky tannin…putting it medium+ and medium+ acid. Moderate alcohol. The finish was long and silky. Such lovely lovely fruit still and dare I say, intense! The group was all over France and Italy with some choosing Barbaresco, some saying Brunello, some in Burgundy and others saying Southern Rhone. All were blown away that it was a 15 year old Beaujolais. Drink now or over the next few years.

A blend from several sites, this full robust Beaujolais, deep in color, shows aromas of ripe red fruits and spices. On the palate fresh cherry and strawberry with pepper spice and hints of floral. Rich fine tannins with lively acidity will enable this wine to gain benefit with some cellaring. Tasting Sample.

Gastronomic style. Pleasant appreciation of aging with toasted, spices. Almost oily mouth texture, ample style. Lacks a little freshness to hang the tasting.
Bouteille au style gastronomique. Agréable appréciation de l’élevage au style toasté, épices. Texture en bouche presque grasse, style ample. Manque un peu de fraîcheur pour accrocher la dégustation.

Age is present on the nose with its dried red and black fruits, but it still has an assertive approach and lots of vitality.

Lovely ruby red color, faint spicy pepper on the nose, tastes of berries and wood but a little sour.

has aged ok but a bit old. tastes almost like pinot. drink now before too late!

Not exceptional, but a solid example of Moulin-A-Vent. Plum, pepper, and spice, while retaining a softness. Decent Bojo if you find it at the right price.
