Gorgeous medium ruby color and a powerful aroma Ressler of violet, red cherry, black cherry, raspberry, red plum, clove, vanilla, dried orange peel and forest floor. Lovely firm acidity balances the abundant fruit and accents the long finish. Lovely Pinot noir.

About as close to Burgundy as possible in the U.S. Impeccable balance. Must buy more.

Lovely. Not quite clean. Mineral. Not as bright and pretty as the 2016. Too hot?

vivid ruby; muted aromatics, red berries, cherries, potpourri, dusty earth, pine needles; very tart red fruits, prominent minerality on the finish; medium body, high acidity, prominent fine grained, 13% ABV; first vintage sourced from their estate vineyard, 25% whole cluster inclusion, aged in 25% new French oak for 12 months and then 4 months in tank; still a bit tight at this point but suspect it will reward long term cellaring; $50

Very much like a burgundy red. No fruit but has complexity.

Rare weekday bottle to wash down a long ass day. First verdict was “MMMM” followed by “Oooooo”. Strawberries, rose hips, violets, stony minerality, fresh acidity. This is what I’m looking for in a Willamette Valley.
