Smells of cave and dust - the hints of a rustic wine coming on.

First sip is raspberry, unripe, yet long giving, high acidity keeps a sweet tart type theme going, Mountain Granache that seems to be more light and acidic than usual.
Certainly a worthwhile tippler.

Intensely-scented of ripe raspberry ooze made sharp by crushed rock dust. Bit of baking spice too. Bone dry, minerally and filled with tangy raspberry/cherry fruit. Very good acidity and a clingy, minerally finish. Nicely done and a dang good value.

The nose leads mixed berries cooked to compote with fresh rosemary, thyme oregano. Sweet black tea and chocolate on the nose. Palate intrigues differently with coffee bean, chocolate covered cashew, autumn leaves, strawberry/raspberry hard candies.

Not sure what the drinking window is here but the first glass was no bueno. Then, after 30 minutes, deep dark cherries. Really nice! Probably needs a few years in the bottle.

May end up better than the 14, but needs a little aeration right now.

A very pure tasting Garnacha. Deep ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit allied with pure deep-toned stony minerals. Soft, mouthfilling, and fresh. Would enhance many different types of dishes. Great value at $10.
