Jun 4th, 2016Dark ruby with with an amazingly fresh nose. Black tea, ripe cherries, pomegranate, and luscious vanilla show initially with more herbs to come later. This is another Baby Barolo that can obviously keep for a few more years but is just fine today. Mid-weight and elegant, this is displaying all of the characteristics of a non bruiser Barolo. Softer and more feminine, this version is far more easy drinking. On the palate, there’s more soft red fruits in the mouth to go with a bit of oak, violets, herbs, and old Italian leather. Plenty of warm spice for the medium to long finish.

Sep 2nd, 2018Picked this up on Last Bottle on a whim and turned out to be a dynamite Barolo. Supremely sweet and delicious with great depth and beautiful cherry fruit that jumps from the glass. Not available anywhere in the U.S. at the moment. Unbelievable wine at sub $40. What an amazing vintage 2011 is turning out to be for Barolo.
