Picked this up on Last Bottle on a whim and turned out to be a dynamite Barolo. Supremely sweet and delicious with great depth and beautiful cherry fruit that jumps from the glass. Not available anywhere in the U.S. at the moment. Unbelievable wine at sub $40. What an amazing vintage 2011 is turning out to be for Barolo. — 8 years ago
Masculine nose... red cherry liquor, limestone, stewed red berries, rose pedal potpourri. Chewy tannins, with persistent black cherry fruit. Slightly reductive. Stood up to smoked andouille sausage lasagna pasta well. Drink now with a 1+ hour decant or over the next 3-5 years. — 6 years ago
Very subtle in nose and palate at first...very smooth and delish — 7 years ago

My last bottle (alas).
Still cherry at the start, and the middle with a touch of currants, followed by some older wine shards. Soft tanine, balanced sweet/acids. Nice long in the mouth. Very impressive bottle after 14 years. — 3 years ago
