While not as deep and plush as I might've expected from this, it beefed up a bit showing a darker complexity and a nice frame of acidity with time in the decanter. Nice long finish as well. Will hold the remaining bottles of the '07 Salon to check in on over the next few years. Happy New Year!

Jan 1st, 201707' Larkmead LMV. 62% CB 20%CF 10% Merlot 5% ea.Malbec & PV. At first glance/smell and consumption. I would've never guessed this was an eight-year-old wine. The color... all the way to the edges ,very dark red/purple. It needs a good decanting of at least two hours. BIG floral and perfumed nose. The palate is full of layers of red/black fruits. I'm also getting dark chocolate, flowers. Long finish. It will be interesting to see where this wine will be in 5-15-20+ years? Great Btl...

Dec 6th, 20152007. Smooth dark fruit, Larkmead vineyards earth, nice acid and tannin round this baby out. Wonderful juice.

Fragrant cherry and leather. Rich, dense, and opulent cherry, mocha, and tobacco. Short but silky finish. Textbook Napa straight from the winery.

A bit of an over ripe fruit milkshake and one dimensional. Nice wine but needs more acid and complexity and depth for the $$.

Still a bit young but this wne has a lot going on. Big notes of black cherry and tobacco. This wine will only get better

Great aroma of juicy black cherries. Palate also reveals a slightly toasted oak with a very long mouth watering finish. Hints of espresso make an appearance as well
