Happy #WorldWhiskeyDay. Medium golden yellow. Quite Smokey and peaty on the nose with some brininess, caramel and vanilla. Similar palate tot he nose but with more vanilla. Pinch of heat beat the end and a bit oily.

Had this bottle for a long time already. And thought it to be a basic peaty Islay. But it is a very fine rounded, bit sweet and not too agressive. Better get a new one.

Gather all the twigs in the forest, throw them in a pile, douse them in gasoline, light them on fire... put a plastic bag over it and catch the smoke... condense it and pour the liquid into a glass. Then drink it. Or lick an ashtray and you'll know what this scotch tastes like. It seems to be growing on me nonetheless.

Hard to rate these; I mean I get it, but shit, if this was a wine you'd say it's unbalanced. Don't not like it though, heck given the right occasion it would be perfect but that peat is outta control.
