Nicely rounded with smaller cask. Maybe sherry or orloroso. Big peat per usual. — 6 years ago
I found my peaty bottle that is not just peat :) balanced! — 7 years ago
Super well balanced smoke to peat. Smooth. Easy drinking. Wonderful flavor. We really enjoyed this whisky very much! — 7 years ago
Highland Streaker - grouse whiskey base but what makes it is the Laphroaig spritz. Really good. — 8 years ago
Smooth, charcoal smoky, peaty. — 4 years ago

Agree with the reviewer Madeleine. Spicy and very, very smoky. Almost reminds me of the whiskey Laphroaig. — 8 years ago
Something else. Peated high high. Comparable to the Laphroaig Quarter Cask. I'm on a boat — 8 years ago
Day 24 of the 2022 Whisky Advent Calendar. Very smoky at first but with a caramel depth coming through. Intensely peaty with a cocoa and mint layer under it and lots of spices. Toasty nutty finish. — 3 years ago

Nose of briny, smokey peat that's on the medicinal side (burnt rubber). Walnut, toffee, black pepper, and perhaps a hint of raisin.
Rich, intense palate of malt, toffee, roasted almond, sea shell, and the classic medicinal, smokey Laphroaig finish. Mixed in the peaty finish is a hint of bacon, plum, and pepper.
Very much Laphroaig but more rounded and with more rich, nutty notes than the 10. Not that fruity which I would expect from the sherry finish, but still delicious. — 6 years ago
Very peaty! I would have guessed, if I were blindfolded, that it was a Laphroaig. — 7 years ago

Liked this. There was instant Laphroig peat right up front, but surprising as there was not so much on the nose. I don’t love heavy peat, but I thought this was nicely balanced with a rich caramel and spice. — 5 months ago
