one of my favorite bargain go to Champagnes. Brioche, fruit, citrusy melon. Great balance and minerality.

I remember going go to Le Bernidan in NYC once and being given a glass of Lanson, which was (maybe still is) used as the house Champagne. Fair enough because it is balanced, flavorful and tasty.

Clear pale gold, Small bubbles, with medium persistence; medium plus intensity aromas of yellow apple, yellow pear, croissant, brioche, highly autolytic; dry, high acid, persistent mousse, medium body, medium alcohol, medium plus intensity flavors of yellow apple, fresh lemon juice, croissants, toast, brioche, mouth filling perfume; high acid balanced with medium alcohol and residual sugar, long finish, intense autolytic flavors indicate long time on lees, well integrated with golden primary fruit flavors; outstanding

Found this to be pretty yeasty, which I like; straight up yeast, freshly baked bread, cheeserind but is supported by some lovely citrus and mossy minerality providing some pleasant freshness to the wine. Length is good too.
