Timorasso grape from Piemonte, is clear yellow in this wine; nose of distinct yellow pears and apples, sharon, and beeswax; taste is heavy-fruity with oranges and red grape fruit, and honeysuckle. Well made but lacks depth.

2020 vintage.
Timorasso is an indigenous grape from Piedmont.
7.5 hectare vineyard of 25 year old vines grown in marly, calareous, clay and sandy soil.
Stainless steel ferment followed by 8 months resting on the lees then 3 months of bottle ageing before release.
Giorgio Rivetti, owner of La Spinetta, considers Timorasso as the white Nebbiolo.
Will easily age 5-10 years.
Bright, brilliant straw gold.
Stone fruit, ripe nectarines, Acacia honey and white flowers.
Layers of flavours with tropical fruit, almonds and bergamot.
This wine dances a fine line between smooth texture, citrus, minerals and flowers.

I almost never see a Timorasso and am so thrilled when I do. The variety makes strident yet polished, muscular but nimble wines—they are seriously beach body ready. Slightly prickly but rich with stone fruit and salty wet stone. Wine you can hug but also it could pick you up like the lift in Dirty Dancing cause they are strong and graceful Omg is Timorasso Patrick Swayze?

Delectable has this grape misspelled. It is Timorasso. My first time with this grape. Reminds me a bit of Viognier, but with more acidity. Tropical fruit, pear, almond. Easy drinker. Fun!

Nariz: manzana verde, grosella, piedras, flores blancas

Boca: Acidez M+/Alto, alcohol M. Acaba algo agrio.

Interesante. Corto el “spicy y pique” del curry.

Crisp apple. Bit of lemon/citrus. Light floral notes on the nose. Needs a decant - it’s Italian. Acidic - cut through some leftover wagyu without hesitation. Fun

Lavender aroma, medium acidity with a bite of lemon and a slight bitter aftertaste. Paired well with Shrimp Piccata.
