Like a dill infused burgundy. Drinking beautifully right now.

Beautiful coconut and dill weed mixed with some sweet & sour component. Some tobacco leaves as well. Well structured and balanced.

For about 25$, delivers vintage after vintage great quality & happy emojis. Bay leaf, white pepper, aged upon arrival-this is my sweet spot.

This past Saturday evening with good friends we opened the 2005 La Rioja Alta Viña Arana Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend.

On the nose there was black cherry, blackberry, red currant, floral notes, fig, leather, a touch of vanilla and dried soil.

On the palate the cherry came through in a big way, with blackberry, red currant, blood orange, herbal notes, clove, licorice and dusty earth.

This wine is silky smooth medium to plus bodied with medium + acidity and medium + grippy tannins that lead to a long spicy finish. Another very enjoyable wine. Be safe and start your weekend off right. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Smoky, pepper, tobacco, cherry, and coconut suntan lotion, in a great way. What great value from my favorite Rioja producer!

An unfortunate brett bomb! Still drinkable but what an unfortunate miss here as the fruit still comes through. Just part of the gamble with these old school dirty cellars. But when it's on...lookout!

It is what they say: Things that grow together, go well together. This wine is at harmony with Paella. Had this at a place called Café Madrid with tapas and paella in tapas form (sounds counter productive..).
