There were some winners. Vertebre from Terroirs sans Frontieres is a favorite. Argot wines from Sonoma and Napa were delicious. But, I just felt like these 3 wines were all 90+ scored and I felt like, or I’m crazy or the tasters didn’t taste the final bottled wine???
An unfortunate brett bomb! Still drinkable but what an unfortunate miss here as the fruit still comes through. Just part of the gamble with these old school dirty cellars. But when it's on...lookout! #rioja#brettbomb — 8 years ago
Ok but the brett got in somehow...I guess when you churn out the quantity they do this is bound to happen. I have probably tasted or enjoyed 20+ bottles of LRA wines and never had a brett issue.
The deep and moldy cellars are abound in Rioja last I checked...but that's more bottle aging I guess.
@Jim Westby thanks for checking in on yours...hopefully it's not an complete 2006 issue....love this producer...but I do have less of the Vina Arena tasting experience than the others 904, Ardanza, etc.
