Tightly wound - earth dominant - brooding fruit in the background. Give this another 5-10 years

This second wine of Malartic-Lagraviere is drinking just beautifully. Open nose has loads of red fruit, underbrush, savory, gravelly notes, and even a lightly-roasted beef note. Soft and mouthfilling, but light on its feet. Fruit, earthy notes, and savory, low-toned minerals on the palate. Not much tannin in the slightly drying finish. I wouldn’t keep these more than a couple more years.

Vintage 2018 | Purple red colour, refined open smell with red fruit, some laurel, velvety taste | paired with tenderloin with mango fruit, Cantonese style. @Timothy Lynch it is. Now third day, so much aeration: splendid wine!

Vintage 2014 | from magnum | a good forward year, tasted half a glass after 48 hours aeration and it still makes me happy. Plums and fruit in smell, good concentration. Fine wine.

This is some tasty ass Bordeaux, if not leaning a bit New World in style. Polished, almost jammy red berries and plums. Just a hint of green on the nose but pure, ripe fruit on the palate. Excellent length and grip. Even better on day 2.

Vintage 2014 This wine is very accessible and a great joy to drink. Cedar in smell, also laurel and pencil shaving. Very civilized. No tannins whatsoever, but red fruit. Velvety structure. Well made. With this kind of wines it is easy to let others ripen in the cellar.

Fruit forward, highly accessible Bordeaux. Good near term drinking.

Perfume, vanilla, blackberry jam. More fruit forward than 14, but not the same structure and minerality.
