This is a very nice Grenache blend from Southern Rhone.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, barnyard, vegetables, spices, bitter herbs, wet leaves, earth and black pepper.

Tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.

Has a very pretty color now, and the nose is really stinky, even after 4 hours in a decanter, with lots of barnyard and animal notes.

Wine Enthusiasts 93 points.

Feels more like a Northern Rhone red. The Syrah seems to be very dominant.

A very enjoyable food wine that I paired with braised beef short ribs in red wine sauce.

A blend of 55% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre and 15% Cinsault.

15% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$40 (current vintage).

A dark, extracted modern style CDP. Smoky dark berries and some hot stones in the nose. Rich, broad and weighty in the mouth. Low toned on the register. Lots of berry skins and dark minerals. Very low acid and lots of tannin still. Some bitterness from overextraction in the finish. 15%. Not my style but modernists and Parkerites will like it.

Possibly the worst CDP I've ever had. Just not up to snuff. Tastes like a middle of the road Vacqueyras.

Dark garnet hue with high saturation. Meaty aromas of cherry, leather, pepper, raspberry, tar, sage, and thyme. Medium-plus body, with medium-plus tannins and high acidity. Smooth, spicy, and complex with a dry, oaky, peppery finish. Blend of Grenache (55%), Syrah (15%), Mourvedre (15%), and Cinsault (15%).

February 22, 2020. Agree with Aaron Means and Tom Casagrande. 2013 has so much pepper and dense dark fruit it is almost unrecognizable as CDP. (To me) This was disappointing. w/ J2 (who wouldn’t drink it) & Jack D.

2010. Disappointing. Massive, overripe fruit bomb. I would have a tough time saying where this was from if i hadn't known. Liquid chocolate poured over overripe grape ooze.

Pretty damn solid CDP, lots of earthy spice mixed in with a soft fruit. Structure isn't overwhelming, very drinkable. Almost too earthy for myself, though my wife digs it a lot. Paired with some duck saucisson, which did very well together!
