Palate closed out of the gates but has the guts I remember. Length. Really long. Acid and finesse. Even closed this a 9.4. Let’s see where it goes. Nose gets a fresh honey note and intense minerality and an airiness. Palate is just explosive with honeyed minerals and crazy high acidity and intensity but gets all finesse on the mid and finish. Wow.

Nov 18th, 2023Wow. The KG “Molsheim.” Just a stunning nose of lime zest, white pepper, herbs, some complex citrus, herbs again but more pronounced. Just awesome palate. Amazing texture and grace. Such amazing spread on the palate. Nose now getting gingerbread, spice, pound cake, but the ginger is out of hand. Stunning. Deep, ripe, complex and concentrated. Seems a bit closed though initially and I know it has more to say. Finish is long and clings to the palate. Great acidity and it is caressing. Glorious purity and depth

Very fragrant with early flowers: lily, honeysuckle, in spring rain. But then something more exotic; jasmine like. On the palate this floats and stings. Transparent, filled with light.
After a few days as the acid rounds, it picks up a beautiful sweetness on the finish. Bodes well.

Quite fruity with sweet apples & peaches yet shows already some evolutionary notes with beeswax and a bit of naphtha. Complex nose, on the palate begins very mild yet the mineral acidity shines through. Very, very nice.

a singularly unique Riesling from an organic, VDP producer. wasn't able to find vinification details, but i'm almost certain this is open barrel fermented and raised in used oak. it's quite luscious, but with that inimitable tartaric cut that Riesling does like no other. dripping with marzipan, butter, and crushed peaches. #drinkmoreriesling #rheinheissen #germany #riesling
