Trocken Kabinett Spätburgunder

Very pretty and hightoned. Delicate red berry fruit, sweet cherry, red and purple florals, baking spice, some herbal green stem, and a touch of bretty funk. Soft acid and tannins. The palate has nice fruit but is ultimately a bit simple. Tasty none the less and quite nice with a manchego and sopresata grilled cheese.

Upon opening, a big hit of undissolved SO2 on the scratchy back palate. After a day’s aeration, a lovely, medium-weight Pinot. Cola, roasted plums, pie spices...not unlike an old Tulocay Pinot Noir! Fun stuff. #pfalz #spätburgunder

2018 vintage. Vacation wine!!!! Very welcome in the face of continued uncertainty after such a whirlwind year and a half. Tart cranberry, crabapple, unripe cherry, lime, autumn leaves, dust, black rocks, rosehips, tea. Great alternative for Burgundy lovers.

Bracing acidity and bright cranberry. A little fridge time tones it down nicely. Very good Pinot. Better on day 2.

Really nice extraction and density for german pinot. Its also still pretty fresh and floral for being a decade old.

Unique pinot noir to me. Quite acidic and tannic with some nice earthy notes and blackberries.

Bright fruit notes of cherry, juicy plum. Tart raspberries on the nose. Very nice wine

Scouring a wine list, my eyes always perk up at the sight of a Spatburgunder

I like it! Always good to be reminded to drink more spatburgunder. More fun to say than pinot noir
